Research group registered in CNPq which brings together researchers, artists and students interested in the critical thinking and its role in the reception of works, in the processes of creation and composition, and in the formation of curatorial circuits and discourses with the arts. The members of the group collaborate together in the development of projects, nuclei of studies, publication of translations and theoretical texts, besides the coordination and execution of the other actions developed by LabCritica described in this site.

Extension activities aimed to the education about and production of critics, usually done with festivals, exhibitions, institutions and artistic circuits of Rio de Janeiro. These actions are done since 2012, with special regards to our partnership with Festival Panorama, which resulted in texts published in Cadernos de Textos Críticos and in the book Performar Debates.
Performative Debates

Series of experimental debates among researchers, artists, curators and the public nurturing the critical exercise of dialogical thinking. In this action, we are interested in thinking-doing types of agency, production and dissemination of speech acts, dances, performances and other arts.
Shared Residencies

Exchanges among GP LabCrítica, theoreticians and invited artists-researchers. In this action, those invited develop their current investigations, in dialogue with the members of GP LabCrítica, extensionist participants, UFRJ community and partner entities.
